Bike Week Miracles
Hey Y’all!
Often we talk about how much our Father in Heaven loves us, and all that he does for us. He created us, we are his children, and he loves us as such. Like most fathers, he helps us learn and grow and gives us rules to protect us. When we do things wrong he reproves us and helps us learn from those mistakes.
This week my testimony tripled in the idea that God loves us. We were biking around and knocking a lot of doors on Saturday with little success, which can be discouraging sometimes, but we kept on going knowing that we had a lesson soon. Unfortunately the man that we had the lesson with ended up just wanted to bash and debate, which never goes over well and over all was a waste of time. We left that lesson a little discouraged and so we decided to go over to Wendy’s before visiting our next person. Along the way we pulled over into a gas station parking lot for a quick second and met an amazing man who wants to come back to church, so we gave him our number and continued on to Wendy’s. While at Wendy’s that man called us and set up a time to meet! We then went inside and ordered our food, and the cashier told us “its on the house” and wouldn’t let us pay!
I refuse to believe in coincidences. Instead I prefer to believe that God is actively involved in our lives every day. I believe that he sent us to that Gas station because we needed to meet that man. I also believe he played a hand in the charity that was shown to us at Wendy’s. Those things were exactly what we needed (and more) to get excited to go out and continue to work for the rest of the day. I love my Father in Heaven, and I know he loves all of us!
It seems like my experiences are only getting more amazing and faith-building as time goes on, so I’m excited to see what happens this week!
Until next week,
Elder Klingler
Pictures:
1. We had ribs at a members house and they had some great bibs for us, haha!
2. We made a friend with a stray dog we named Sasha. She gave us a good excuse to meet a bunch of the neighbors on this street too!
