So Many Exchanges!
Hey Everybody!
Sorry I failed to write anything last week, we went on a super fun hike and didn’t get home in time to write anything. I will be sure to attach some pictures from the hike though. The view was incredible!
These last couple of weeks have gone by super quickly, and my companion and I have only been together for about half of the time because we have been going on so many exchanges with other missionaries. Last week my companion got to go to Newton with Elder Burdette, so I took Elder Bryce to Morganton and we had a grand ‘ole time. Then this week I went to Newton on Tuesday morning and we met back up on Wednesday for our District Council. After the meeting Elder Bevans (my companion) and I swapped with another companionship and we didn’t swap back until Friday morning.
During that time I took Elder Momotaro to Morganton with me. He is from the Marshal Islands and speaks the native language Marshallese. He used to serve here because we have a lot of Marshallese people living here and so he came back this week for a couple days to check on the people and try to help us begin teaching them again. It was really interesting and fun, but I’m glad to finally have my companion back.
On Wednesday we had our very last District Council for the transfer. It’s crazy to think that this transfer is already almost over. Our district is the best, and we made sure to take pictures during our last meeting together. Most of us will probably stay after transfers, but it’s hard to predict how President Adler does things.
Sorry again for not emailing last week, but I’m gonna follow my favorite quote and do better next time. I don’t know who said it, but it’s “make yourself stronger than your excuses”. God doesn’t want us to complain and make excuses, but he wants us to try our best and do what we can to become better each day. He wants us to be happy and to improve, and I feel like that is one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned on my mission thus far.
Love yall!
Elder Klingler
