Sunburns and Zone Conference

Hey Everyone!

Sorry for missing last week again! These last few weeks have been so full of events and fun that it’s going to be hard for me to cover it all, so I will stick to the highlights.

The weather has been heating up really fast lately and it’s been super humid. It really hits you when you walk out of the apartment, but it isn’t so bad once youve been out for a little while. With warm weather also comes all of the nice cars. If you don’t know, Mooresville is also known as Race City, and is home to lots of racing teams and some beautiful cars. I get especially jealous of jeeps driving around without their doors on haha.

Mooresville held a Race City Festival last Saturday, so we did a booth there promoting Familysearch.org and it was really fun! We were able to talk to a lot of people about how easy and important it is to find and learn more about their ancestors. It was a really good time with a few other missionaries. After we packed it all up and took the other Elders home, we took a quick picture to compare our tan lines, and I’m pretty sure I won haha.

We also had a Zone Conference last week and we combined with the Hickory Zone so we had a lot of really great missionaries there. Our mission President gave a few really good trainings (or talks) and had my companion and I roleplay in front of everyone as if we were teaching a lesson, which was a little scary but we got some really good feedback. We also had 6 of our 8 missionaries there from the old MTC district, so we took a photo since it probably won’t ever happen again.

So much more happened, but I will keep this email as short as I can. Overall, things are going really well for us over here, and we continue to find ways to have fun as we work!

I love all of you and hope you have an amazing week!

Until next time,
Elder Klingler
