First Week of MTC

WOW! I think they should rename the Missionary Training Center to Spiritual Bootcamp. Our schedules are always full with a place to be, but I know that I am progressing so quickly because of it!

They had us teaching our first investigator (who was a friend of the teacher) on our second day here! it was so scary because we didnt even know what to teach yet. We taught them three times already and yesterday they gave 2 real(ish) investigators and they went so much better compared to our first lesson, even though its only been 5 days!
My companion and I could not be more different, and that makes it hard to teach sometimes, but we're getting better! I am in a room with my companion and 2 other companionships that are all headed to Charlotte with me! We have so much fun and often sit up talking in the dark until almost an hour past cerfew haha. We have so much North Carolina pride that the other missionaries are starting to get annoyed (but really they are just jealous). We have a North Carolina flag taped up on the wall in our room too! We tried to put it on our door first, but we got told to take it down so now its on the wall.
We were studying outside when we noticed a bird get hit out of the air by a cat. It couldnt fly anymore but tried to run away, meanwhile its bird friends were dive bombing the cat to distract it (it was pretty cool to watch). My roommate Elder Berryhill ran out and actually picked up the little bird, brought it back to our table, and sat it down in the middle of the table. The bird just sat paralyzed in terror. Until Elder Berryhill started to use his water bottle to feed the bird and the bird was reaching out with its beak open wide and everything! it was really cool, until the bird jumped off the table and ran into the bushes, which we were ok with because the bird's friends were circling our table at that point.
The MTC tours are going on right now too so we have to start to take different routes everywhere, but I dont mind. I've also discovered that I'm pretty good at 4-square.
The Spirit here is amazing and I'm getting better everyday! Sundays are still the best, but the teaching is fun too! I have awesome teachers, Brother Weisler and Sister Thurber are so cool!
Oh, I even downed a glass of the forbidden Orange Juice and we found the rumored Pillow Room so we all have 2 pillows now! Some Elders (not in our disctrict) also jumped in the elevator and activated the brake system; they were stuck for half an hour until they pryed the doors open and climbed out. Everyone here had to listed to an elevator conduct speach and that elevator hasnt worked very well since. Which I wouldnt mind if our class hadnt been moved up from the second floor to the sixth floor haha
We also cant say things like: guys, dudes, bro, etc. So we began "The Y'all Initiative" in attempt to give us something else to say and get us used to it since were going to the south haha.
Talk to you all next P Day (tuesday)!
