Miracles Y’all!
Hey Y’all!
Today we had a really fun time with the district playing Volleyball on a sand court! I think it was especially good at helping us build some friendships with each other since there are so many new people this transfer. We had a great time getting sandy and sunburned together! Haha! I love these people.
Some pretty major stuff happened this week. On Tuesday we had a Zone Conference with half of the mission because Elder Shayne M. Bowen came and spoke to us. It was so amazing how he managed to get us all super motivated to change and work harder than ever! He challenged us to go and testify to 30 people each day, and then also have 30 lessons a week! We are doing pretty well at the daily contacts, but the lessons is going to take some time to build up. That was also my last Zone Conference so I’m glad I got to see lots of people there for probably the last time.
Then, (and this is amazing) on Friday, we were out knocking on some doors and met a young woman who said that she is close with a particular family in our church over in a nearby ward and that she used to date their son. That family was in my first ward and I knew their son really well, so it clicked in my head as to why she seemed so familiar! That family has tried many times to help her learn the gospel, but she has never really taken to it. That son moved away while I was in that ward and so we chatted with her about him and his family and the gospel. The next day we got a call from the missionaries in that town saying that the girl reached out to them through that member family and wants to meet with the missionaries! The miracle is that she was only in our area for that hour to babysit for a friend, and that I am the only missionary left in the mission that had met their son! I am so excited to see what happens with her! I know that the Lord has his timing in all things, and I hope that this is finally her time to join the church and receive the blessings found there!
That pretty well sums up our week! Lots of hard work to hit our 30’s! I love you all and hope your week is amazing! The gospel is so true!
Until next week,
Elder Klingler
