Humidity Strikes Again
Hey Y’all!
Last week had pretty great start as we found out I would be staying here in one of the greatest areas for my last transfer! I seriously have been reminded every day this week just how lucky I am that I get to stay here to finish off my mission.
I said goodbye to Elder Heathcote after 4 months together, which was pretty hard because I’ve never had a companion that long and we’d gotten pretty close. I got Elder Turner and he is so great! He’s a total country boy so it’s been a super fun last couple of days!
I gave a talk yesterday in church about reaching and helping others spiritually as opposed to just physically. We tend to be on alert for those having a hard time physically, such as a popped tire or a unmowed lawn. Those kinds of things are easy to spot. I like to think that most of us are willing to jump up and help someone that is in need spiritually, if we were to notice it. That’s the hard part, it’s not easy to recognize, when in reality all of the people around us everyday are going through some kind of spiritual unseen struggle. Everybody we meet is likely in need of some spiritual upliftment in some way or another because that is the real war being fought today. Because we know and understand the power of Jesus Christ’s atonement, it is on us to invite others to come and enjoy the blessings of it!
I love you all and look forward to seeing everyone again soon. I will be speaking in my parent’s ward in Sandy Utah on July 21st, and then in my ward in Irvine California on July 28th. I’ll get more details out on that soon, but I hope to see y’all there!
Until next week,
Elder Klingler
