The Missionary Super Bowl

Hey Everyone!

The days continue to blend together as fast as ever, but it is all good
because it means that we have been staying super busy! This week especially
was jam-packed with lots of great things!

Where to start?…..

Well, this Thursday we went to do more service in that house from last week
and we cleared out that poor piano we destroyed last time. We also got
started on cleaning out what seems to be the final room of the house, which
is good except is has the most debris in it of any of the other rooms. We
all had a ton of fun working on it though!

I was going to add more about the week, but I’m going to jump straight to
General Conference! Or as it’s sometimes referred to, The Missionary Super
Bowl! Haha. It really was such an amazing and powerful and experience to
get to listen to our Prophet speak to us. He didnt hold back either! Lots
of exciting new stuff to look for at the beginning of the new year! I am so
excited to see how this new change will influence the work that we are able
to do out here!

The talk from this weekend that stuck out to me most was that of Elder
Rasband. A common missionary phrase is “fear no man” which sounds tacky,
but really just means that we should not fear what someone may think or say
and step out of our comfort zone to talk to everyone we can! Elder Rasband
has made me rethink this phrase. He said that “perfect love expels all
fear” meaning that if we want our own fears to cease, then we need only to
love. So we need to stop trying to “fear no man”, and start focussing on
the need to “love every man” and as we do that, barriers will fall and
hearts will open to the message of the Restoration of the Gospel. I know
that there is no other method that will spread the Good News of the Gospel
more swiftly than this!

I hope everyone is enjoying their cool weather. I think we will finally get
below 80 degrees this week! Haha.

Until Next Week,
Elder Klingler
