Let us climb the mountain of the Lord!
Two weeks ago we spent our Sunday morning climbing the mountain behind Saltillo with one of our new found friends, Rodolfo. It took us 3 hours to hike to the top of the peak, climbing about 1,000 meters in elevation in the process and in the end we were rewarded with an incredible view of all of Saltillo. More than just being a cool adventure it really made concrete some truths about our faith and taught me some great virtues. Looking out at the city, so far below us that we couldn´t even make out our neighboorhood well made me feel so very small and insignificant which is such an important aspect of our faith. To truly understand our nothingness in front of God´s awesomeness and His beautiful creation and yet to recognize that He loves us personally and that He has called us to be little missionaries here in Saltillo for the building of His kingdom even if we seem to be insignificant in front of so much need. God is so good and in the end His love will triumph.
